I have arrived!!!

Hi everyone!
My first post from Brighton, England! I love it here already! Yesterday was a very long day filled with lots of travelling! The flight was long and I couldn't sleep which made the jetlag worse but there was so much to do on the plane, each seat had a personal touchscreen tv that had a whole list of movies/tv shows/ and different games. After our flight we had to take a "tram" which is kind of like a subway/train but it was a quick ride to get to the customs area! I flew with another girl from my trip and we flew through customs and got our baggage and it all only took around a half hour! It was great, but then we were going to meet up with another girl who's plane landed around 15 minutes after ours. We had been trying to figure it all out and we ended up waiting close to 3 hours for her! It turns out, she was in a different terminal! But after we figured all that out, we took a bus and had one change over at a smaller airport. Then we made it to Brighton and had to take a taxi to our dorms! So after many hours of travelling we finally made it!
Last night we went out for dinner to a place our faculty advisor had recommended to us, a fish and chips place called bankers! Needless to say of the 14 kids that were travelling 7 got fish and chips and the rest of us got chicken nuggets and fish! It was good food! We then went to tour around "town" as they call it. We went down to the English Channel and played around for awhile. Finally we went back to the dorms and everyone just crashed. Speaking of the dorms we each get our own room and our own bathroom which is very nice, but the bathroom includes a shower/toilet/sink. And the shower is not sectioned off, so when I took a shower the water was everywhere all over the bathroom floor! Very interesting haha I will post a picture of it!
This morning, after a bit of confusion with my clocks/alarms I had set, I finally got up at the right time and we had our introductions and learned a little more about our school work and different trips we will be taking! We also met our two University of Brighton faculty advisors, Zoey and Mary. They are both very nice and funny women. We also got to meet our two teachers, Kate and Dave, who are quite funny as well. I'm really looking forward to the rest of my experiences here! I'm having a great time so far and can't wait to tell you all about it! I'm learning new things everyday especially about staying on the left side of (everything) including grocery store aisles and stairways! Haha, but I'm having a wonderful time so far and a bit tired but getting over the jet lag! We start our first class tomorrow and I have to have The Little Red Riding Hood read for class! Can you tell it's an elementary education class? haha. We just got our internet working literally like an hour ago, which was very exciting! So I will do my best to keep up with the blog so you can all read about my fun and exciting trip! Miss you all!
Cheers!
